- PublicationCareer Maturity and Intervention Strategies: A bibliometric approach(AMER by e-International Publishing House, Ltd, 2024-08-30)
;Ghazali, Aizuddin ;Khalid, Norfaezah Md ;Yahya, Amira NajihaThis study explores whether Malaysian student career awareness interventions whilst still in secondary school, that focus on career maturity and their readiness for the evolving job market, effectively prepares them for employment success. Recognising the importance of aligning career choices with interests and skills, the paper examines the impact of these interventions. However, despite growing interest, there remains a gap in understanding the actual impact of these career interventions for Malaysian students transitioning out of secondary education. Using Scopus Analyzer, academic paperswere analysed considering publication trends, authorship, citations, and key topics. The paper aimed to highlight research trends and patterns, identify research gaps, and offer insights for future studies. Ultimately, this research seeks to clarify whether the career awareness interventions prior to Malaysian students transitioning to the workforce genuinely enhance their career choice, maturity, and success.

The IJHE continues to be the choice of journal for many global researchers. As such, the strength of the IJHE journal is reflected in this issue's five research articles from Canada, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. This issue has a strong focus on improving the online curriculum and learning space for students. Global events continue to dominate media outlets and present everyday challenges for some with seemingly no end or resolve. With significant political change in the air, it is important that we continue to prioritise education and lifelong learning, researching areas that will improve educational access and strategies for success. The IJHE provides an important platform for the development of theory, the addressing of policy questions, and the dissemination of innovative practice in the field of tertiary education, specifically widening participation and lifelong learning.
- PublicationChallenges of Practicing Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Education (ECE) attracted the attention of many associations and educators. The Association for Childhood Education International, The National Association for the Education of Young Children, and Bennett (2004) offered in depth frameworks for ECE. This article examined the challenges that the preschool teachers in Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates face in adhering to ECE frameworks that advocate developmentally appropriate and innovative practices, and recommended to overcome those challenges by meeting the needs in teacher preparation programs at the university level and by providing continuous professional education.
